Dr Peter Wejbora
Dr Peter Wejbora has held senior roles within the medical research field spanning university, government and independent medical research sectors, focusing on business strategy, corporate governance, government advocacy, research development, commercialisation and management of multi-institutional partnerships.
Dr Wejbora is currently Director of Research Development and Partnerships and Company Secretary at Children’s Cancer Institute Peter. Prior to this, he was Director of Strategic Research Investment at Cancer Institute NSW.
Dr Wejbora joined the NSW Health Minister’s China Advisory Group in 2016 and in 2019 was asked to become the Australian representative to ACCELERATE, a global alliance of industry, academia and government regulators aimed at developing and providing access to innovative drugs for children with cancer. He has previously held memberships of the Australian Breast Cancer Tissue Bank Advisory Board, the Australian Sheep Genomics Commercialisation Advisory Committee, as well as the Governing Board of the National Collaborative Infrastructure Scheme – Imaging.
