Dr Peter Woodgate
Dr Peter Woodgate Chairs SmartSat CRC, and AURIN an NCRIS facility, is a Board member of PSMA Ltd, is a member of Council of Charles Sturt University, and has been a Principal Fellow at the University of Melbourne since 2003. He was previously CEO of the CRC for Spatial Information (CRCSI) from 2003 to 2017 and led its transition from the CRC Program to become FrontierSI Ltd, an on-going collaboration of partners from the CRCSI. At the CRCSI he helped oversee the development of the Australian Cancer Atlas with collaborators including Cancer Council Australia, Cancer Council Queensland, QUT and the AIHW. He is a former Deputy Chair of the CRC Association.
Dr Woodgate has a Doctorate of Business Administration (in innovation) from RMIT University, a Masters of Applied Science (in satellite remote sensing) from the University of New South Wales, a Bachelor of Forest Science from the University of Melbourne, is an Honorary Fellow of the Surveying and Spatial Sciences Institute, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and its Mastering the Boardroom courses.
