A/Professor Nicholas Gough was appointed to the Board in 2014. He has served on the Audit and Risk Committee since his appointment to the Board, serving briefly as Chair in from May 2017 to February 2018.
Dr Gough has over 35 years experience in the biotechnology industry and the Cooperative Research Centres program. He is the inventor of a number of technologies underpinning a variety of biopharmaceuticals and biotechnology products. In 2011, he was co-recipient of the Clunies Ross Medal of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering for the application of science and technology for the benefit of Australia.
Dr Gough has previously held appointments as Head of the Molecular Haematology Laboratory at The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, Research Director of AMRAD Corporation Limited, CEO of Cerylid Biosciences Limited, CEO of Cooperative Research Centre for Genes for Common Human Diseases, Director of Molecular and Genomic Discovery ES Cell International Pte Ltd (Singapore); Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board for Innovative Dairy Products CRC, Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board for LactoPharma (New Zealand) and Chair of the Research Advisory Committee for the Wound Management Innovation CRC.
